Joe Keery’s third foray into his personal music career is a well-made double album for what it sets out to be. The deluxe tracks are much less focused and in many cases worse than their regular album counterparts, but the entire collection finds its footing in the psychedelic rock revival (with a splash of indie for good measure). Lonesome Is A State Of Mind and Charlie’s Garden, for example, are personal and interesting songs that feel dynamic. There’s plenty of misses insofar as autotune and mundane lyricism go, but it’s a good effort nonetheless.
