We all joke about her having a million debut albums, and while I'm not gonna ignore her past two studio records, this is the first one that feels like its purely her vision, no input from a major label or dr. l*kes musty ass. Detour is exactly what the album cover would make you believe, it's Kim finally going off the rails, and allowing herself to explore not only the trashy, sexual side of her music (Polo, DTLA, 101), but also the heartfelt exploration of her life and career (Brutalist, Jeep, Need For Speed, Korea). Genuinely an amazing debut of her artistic vision, and it makes me so fucking excited for her future. Signed someone who's been a Kim Petras fan since I Don't Want It At All.
