Ariana puts such pretty sound and vocals together with quite vulgar of lyrics sometimes… and no judgement here buttttt I think her topics of writing were better suited for her old style of music (probably pre-Glenda). Also- can’t lie that I do find it somewhat difficult to separate art from artist especially when Ariana’s love life has been… questionable (specifically when looking at her loyalty/fidelity) (yes, I hold men to this same standard btw e.g. Justin Timberlake I feel similarly about regarding his relationship with Britney Spears). ANYWAYS: music wise this album is beautiful. Not a fan of big feelings, never get over me, or like I do. I really enjoyed how she covered topics of fame/fan-relationship in this album with petal and hate that I made you love me. Overall, a fun album. I prefer more song writer songs that feel deeper or maybe even smarter but I think Ariana is good at her specific craft. Most of what I don’t like about this album is personal preference or conviction. Also… loved the sweet love song to end it.
