First of all, the impact that Line Without a Hook had on the fandoms I was apart of in middle school needs to be studied (I’m looking at you sokeefe). It’s labeled as a pop album but to me there’s clear rock and alternative influences. I really like how creative each song feels. It feels like a totally new concept each song. It’s not rinsed and repeated. It leans a little too alternative and unstructured for my personal taste in music but this album is perfect for what it’s trying to be. The whole thing just feels like angsty man who’s madly in love with a woman. Aka, Line Without a Hook as the thesis.
