This was most definitely not my first time listening BUT it’s been my first time listening to it through in a long time. I was the biggest biggest Livie back in the day (and I still love her of course.. just not to the same extreme haha) so I biasedly thought this album was great… but I have to admit 13 year old me may have been right… this album is really really great. This album truly just has no skips- and I don’t mean I literally never skip the songs (tbh 1sf3sb comes on and I just wish I was listening to New Years Day) but every song is good enough that it would be valid to not skip. If that makes sense? Basically, yeah sometimes I do skip songs based on my mood but I would never be upset listening to any of these songs. That Traitor high note still itches my brain in the same way. Enough for you destroys me in the same way. Favorite Crime still has one of my favorite bridges of all time despite it being only 4 lines long. It’s just a great album- especially as a debut! She doesn’t have ideas in her songs that utterly blow my mind, but her simple heartbreak songs certainly warm my cold dead heart. 🫶
