I mean… this album is just so good. First, I want to start by saying this. WHY ISNT FREE NOW THE CLOSING TRACK?? I like Close To You…. But Free Now just feels like the perfect ending. I’ve been a Gracie Stan since day #1 and watching her become popular has been utterly delightful. No… I can’t gate keep her anymore and feel cool and niche but…. I still know the secret that Good Riddance is her best album haha. Anyways, Gracie is just so good at writing sorrow with this edge to it. I’ll cite Blowing Smoke’s bridge as one of many examples. This is definitely her most pop music album yet, but it still feels so genuine. Normal Thing is forever a song I will just feel spiritually connected to. I honestly don’t even have that much to say… she’s just insanely talented. I know many would say her voice isn’t the best…. But when you’re writing like that it doesn’t even matter if you have an average voice! It’s just like a knife in my side every time I listen to her (in a good way).
