Yeah, I really love this album. What a seamless transition from country to pop music. It hurts me all the trials she went through during this time and all the body shaming... but this was an era. I don't care what ANYONE says- Shake It Off was and is and will always be a BOP. Truly, this album is just beautiful to me and I feel bad for everyone who thinks they're too cool to experience it. Like I said... pop perfection!!! Like name an album that understands pop music and storytelling better than this one!! We have sweet love songs, we have some break up songs, we have good vibe songs, and as a whole we just get a project full of whimsy. I cannot help but love every song on the album (except Bad Blood featuring Kendrick Lamar and maybeee How You Get The Girl and Wonderland... sorry- but that's still a good hit rate!). I don't think this is her most genius lyrical album- but truly, for pop music this is a smart album, but most of all musically and strategically (marketing wise) this album is smart AF!! I'm sorry haters... Taylor is that girl when it comes to marketing and media strategies. Also, if you have ever in your life made fun of Taylor Swift for all the guys she's dated (as if she's dated THAT many- bro she's just in the public eye and famous and hot.. sue her!!) then please go listen to "Slut!" and I hope it makes you feel like a terrible person (because you are one). 🩵
