Man, this album started off so strong! I thought FOR SURE that this would end up being my favorite album of his... but he lost me in the back half. I can't lie and say that I think it's an exceptional album. I swear he either writes the most beautiful song in the world about romance, or his family, or his world perspective... or he writes cringe, cornball stuff. Like tell me why 12 Notes is so freaking gorgeous and then Pick Me shares an album with it?? Or Different Kind Of Beautiful and I Sent My Therapist To Therapy share an album. (This is apparent on his other albums too). Every song is about 12 songs long and I typically really like 6 and then hate the other 6. I think he either writes literal POETRY or he writes very on the nose, cringe things. If he could nail down his point of view, specific writing, and earnesty in his work to come then his albums could easily be 7,8,9/10! It makes me sad to rate this only a 6/10!!! I want to love everything he writes with my whole heart.
