Wow, I just think this man is the next great songwriter who had one viral song (Dinner), but the rest is so overlooked. I literally love this whole entire album and am SO impressed by his songwriting, ambition, and storytelling. He is the male version of Sadie Jean, with a little more of an alternative vibe to me. The only thing I think he suffers from a little bit is a little overproduction on some of his songs. I also think that some of his songs could benefit from being a little longer and having a bridge. But also, I think there is something so beautiful in the simplicity of some of his writing. I can't even believe I'M saying this... but I don't even think all his songs need bridges. It really is alternative song writing, but with pretty easy to swallow production and sound (sometimes alternative is too emo and different in my opinion). I really love every song on the album, but my favorites are defintely JOKE, WAY HOME, and GROW (WAIT FOR THE SUMMER). I don't know if his purpose in GROW is to be a story about a parent watching their child grow up (like a flower) and not wanting to let them go. I genuinely don't know if that's what he meant and intended, but that's what I got from it. I think this is my new niche album recommendation. He deserves all the fame and attention and I hope he gets it one day, but for now I'll giggle to myself about my little secret.
