DAMN! I didn't know Halsey's music was good like this. I knew her hits, but I didn't know she could have a whole album eat the same way Bad At Love does. Like Ashley, Graveyard, You Shoudl Be Sad, Finally // beautiful stranger, More, and 929 have all blown my mind. Especially More and 929 (if a song is a number I swear I have to mentally prepare myself for it to destroy me because I swear it always does). Her mental health is explained so well in this album. I don't know much about her and her personal life BUT I do have some awareness of her history and trauma she's been through- but man it's expressed so well in this record. I love her voice too- it expresses her songs with this angst and emotion. I think she's also good at writing catchy songs that still say something deep. I find many songs do one or the other, but I think she finds a great balance in most of her songs. I also think she writes pretty strong lyrics (although it varies song to song to me). I wish the album had less interludes... I'm not really an interlude girlie because I think they feel like a waste of space on an album more often than not (I'd rather get a full song from the artist).
