Unlike his other album CHARLIE I feel biased against this one. CHARLIE I wanted to like and I did and this one I wanted to not like, but I fear I still like it pretty well. He's just really good at writing a catchy pop song with just the right amount of angst that I just can't help but feel connected to it. This is an angsty little boy at the end of the day lowkey. I really love Attention (duh, that's his it song), How Long, Somebody Told Me, and Empty Cups. There's nothing to even like about this... the lyrics are pretty mid, the music is pretty mid, the aesthetic is pretty mid, (his voice is great though, of course)- so why do I just vibe the whole way through? Well, not the whole way through- Patient, If You Leave Me Now, Slow It Down, Change (really cringe), and Through It All don't connect with me at all. I think he just has the right drug in here that gave him just enough sparkle that people like him. Otherwise, I just really can't explain his commercial success. Although- I do think he's fallen off and a lot of people call him cringe now. Idk, I feel he was the Benson Boone of the 2010s (without the backflips).
