808s & Heartbreak

Kanye West's fourth studio album, '808s & Heartbreak,' released on November 24, 2008, marked a significant departure from his previous hip-hop style. The album delved into themes of love, loneliness, and heartache, utilizing the Roland TR-808 drum machine and extensive Auto-Tune effects to create a minimalist, electronic soundscape. Despite initial mixed reactions, it received positive critical acclaim and achieved commercial success, debuting at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart with 450,145 copies sold in its first week.
