'Alone in the Universe' is the thirteenth studio album by British rock band Electric Light Orchestra, released on November 13, 2015. This album marks the first new original material since 2001's 'Zoom' and the first since the band's original disbandment in 1986. Jeff Lynne, the band's leader, recorded the album almost entirely by himself, with his daughter Laura Lynne providing backing vocals on two tracks. The album received generally favorable reviews, peaking at number two on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and number four on the UK Albums Chart, where it was certified Platinum.
