Better Than McDonald's

2026Hip-Hop, Rap1 review

Better Than McDonald's is the fifth studio album by Gangrene, an underground hip-hop duo consisting of producers and emcees The Alchemist and Oh No. Released on July 17, 2026, the gritty eleven-track project features prominent guest appearances from artists like Ab-Soul, Rome Streetz, and Armand Hammer. A fun fact about the album is that its highly controversial cover art appears to be AI-generated, but it was actually meticulously hand-painted.

Easily the weakest Gangrene album. The songs here are just way too long, and honestly not super interesting. Also, fuck Al for all of the ai bullshit he's been giving us lately. I think he's just doing it to get a rise out of people, but it's really ruining the integrity of the art. Why would I buy this on vinyl with it's lame ai cover? Ai chemist is cooked.
