Karel Kryl's debut album, 'Bratříčku, zavírej vrátka,' released in 1969, captures the fervent spirit of the Prague Spring. Recorded between 1967 and 1968, it features poignant songs like the title track, composed spontaneously in response to the Soviet invasion. Produced by Jiří Černý, the album's cover showcases photography by Josef Koudelka. Fun fact: The album was released by Panton, a Czechoslovak record label, and was later reissued by Supraphon in 2015.
