Released in September 1975, 'Face the Music' marked a pivotal shift for Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), moving away from their previous classical orchestrated sound to a more radio-friendly pop/rock style. The album achieved platinum status in the U.S., propelled by successful singles like 'Evil Woman' and 'Strange Magic'. Fun fact: The track 'Fire on High' features a hidden message when played backward, stating, 'The music is reversible, but time is not. Turn back! Turn back! Turn back! Turn back!'
