Very rarely does a comeback album live up to the hype of the band's peak. I can comfortably say Forth is not only one of the best albums ever made, but concrete proof that a group, despite all their difficulties when together, can still produce pure, ethereal magic unmatched by a lot of bands who half-ass their reunion projects and fail to meet expectations. God, should she exist, bless The Verve and their music. The sound is like two angels taking ecstasy, going to the club, and instead of coming down hard, they gently sober up while making love. Classic.
