Richard Ashcroft's seventh studio album, 'Lovin' You', released on October 10, 2025, marks his return after a seven-year hiatus. The album blends acoustic ballads, indie-rock, soul, and electro, with themes of love and resilience. The lead single, 'Lover', reimagines Joan Armatrading's 'Love and Affection' and has been praised by Armatrading herself. The title track features a recording of the iconic guitar riff from Mason Williams' 'Classical Gas', with Williams expressing his delight upon hearing the new rendition.
