9/10

Few albums capture the cold richness that Modern Vampires does. The band matured with this album, tackling politics, religion, and life and death itself. Its tired introspection is hard to replicate, as is its personality. The fullness of Modern Vampire’s sound is on full display in this masterclass of an album plus Hannah Hunt.
