Rumours

Recorded during a period of total personal turmoil — two couples within the band dissolving simultaneously — Rumours channels that tension and heartbreak into something remarkably controlled and beautiful. One of the best-selling albums of all time with over 40 million copies sold. The Chain. Go Your Own Way. Dreams. Gold Dust Woman. Don't Stop. Every track is a classic in its own right, and yet the album flows as a complete, cohesive statement. The interplay between Buckingham's barely-contained fury and Nicks' cool, unhurried grace is unlike anything else in rock. Won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1978. Remarkably, it sounds just as alive today as it did then.
