Incredible outing from the band. Songs feel different but connected and Muse refuses to stop experimenting. This works less well in songs like Assassin or Hoodoo, but also birthed the beautiful work of art that is Knights of Cydonia and the politically-charged Take a Bow. City of Delusion has an excellent Flamenco sound that is irreplaceable, and there are many other noteworthy tracks. There’s plenty of hits to excuse the few misses.
