Black Celebration is the fifth studio album by Depeche Mode, released on 17 March 1986 by Mute Records in the UK and Sire Records in the US. Recorded in London and West Berlin and produced by the band with Daniel Miller and Gareth Jones, its darker, atmospheric tone proved influential on the era's electronic and gothic scenes; neither producer would work on the band's subsequent albums.
