1997Britpop, Rock1 review

Released on July 7, 1997, "D'You Know What I Mean?" is the lead single from Oasis's third album, *Be Here Now*. Written by Noel Gallagher, the song debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart, marking the band's third chart-topping single. It also reached the top spot in Finland, Ireland, and Spain, and achieved platinum status in the UK with 745,000 copies sold. Fun fact: The song's intro features a Morse code message that translates to "Bugger All".

10/10

Strongest single in terms of track quality. While it does have a cover instead of a fourth original tune, Noel's rendition of "Heroes" is pretty great considering very few come close to matching David Bowie's greatness. "Angel Child (Demo)" is such a charming, underrated gem, and "Stay Young" is incredible, deserving a spot on the album. And what a class single! Great introduction to my favourite album.
