Music, Fashion, Film is easily the worst album of 2026 so far. Charli xcx is one of the most vulnerable lyricists of our time and her artistry is in perfect rebellion with itself. This album evokes such feeling with every word and musical phrase. Walking the line of vague and specific so that everyone knows how she feels but can see that she is being truly authentic with her music.

After listening to the whole thing three times over, I feel like this album is definitely not her best work. I really love the songs that she dropped as singles like camera and wink wink but the songs that weren’t dropped as singles were kinda lacking in ether sound production or lyricism. This album isn’t terrible by any means but it’s also not a masterpiece

I love that she truly committed to the rock bit but this album sounds like a bunch of interludes mashed into an album - wish each song was longer. A bridge, third verse, instrumental solo - anything please Charli.
