Obscured by Clouds is the seventh studio album by English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, recorded as the soundtrack for Barbet Schroeder's French film La Vallée. The band took a short break from writing and recording their next magnum opus, The Dark Side of the Moon, to record this album at the Château d'Hérouville in France. Fun fact: The album's cover art is actually an out-of-focus still from the film showing a man reaching into a tree, chosen because the designers liked the visual distortion caused by a jammed slide projector!
