Bob Dylan's 26th studio album, 'Oh Mercy,' released on September 12, 1989, marked a triumphant return to form. Produced by Daniel Lanois, the album features atmospheric and haunting soundscapes that complement Dylan's introspective lyrics. Tracks like 'Political World' and 'Everything Is Broken' showcase his sharp commentary on societal issues. The album received critical acclaim and commercial success, reaching No. 30 on the Billboard 200 and No. 6 in the UK. Fun fact: The album cover art was inspired by a mural Dylan discovered in a Manhattan Chinese restaurant.
