Puberty 2 is the fourth studio album by American indie pop singer-songwriter Mitski, released on June 17, 2016, through Dead Oceans. The album explores themes of depression, anxiety, and cultural identity, serving as an earnest look at the painful transition into adulthood. Fun fact: The album's title came up as a joke because it sounded like a blockbuster movie, and Mitski even had a long argument about whether to use the number 2 or a Roman numeral.
