Released on April 13, 2018, 'Resistance Is Futile' is the thirteenth studio album by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. Recorded at their new Door to the River studio, the album delves into themes of memory, loss, and the blurred lines between art and reality. Musically, it blends the energy of 'Generation Terrorists' with the orchestral elements of 'Everything Must Go'. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and received positive reviews from critics. Fun fact: The album's title was inspired by the band's struggle to navigate the digital age and political climate.
