Run Devil Run

Paul McCartney
1999Rock and roll1 review

Released in 1999, 'Run Devil Run' is Paul McCartney's eleventh solo studio album, featuring covers of 1950s rock and roll classics alongside three original compositions. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, the album marks McCartney's return to his musical roots following the death of his wife, Linda McCartney, in 1998. The title track was inspired by a voodoo remedy McCartney encountered in Atlanta, Georgia. Fun fact: The album cover art is a stylized depiction of Miller's Rexall Drugs, a hoodoo and herbal medicine shop in Atlanta, Georgia, where McCartney saw 'Run Devil Run' products.
