Released on November 17, 1975, 'Schoolboys in Disgrace' is The Kinks' fifteenth studio album. This concept album delves into the backstory of Mr. Flash, the antagonist from their previous rock operas, exploring his transformation from a rebellious schoolboy to a hardened adult. Musically, it blends 1950s rock and roll with elements of hard rock, pop, and doo-wop, marking a return to the band's traditional sound. Fun fact: The album's cover was illustrated by Colin 'Mickey' Finn, who also designed the iconic 'Money for Nothing' video characters.
