Released on September 15, 1967, 'Something Else by the Kinks' is the fifth studio album by the English rock band The Kinks. The album showcases a shift towards a more eclectic sound, blending pop, art pop, rock, psychedelia, and folk influences. It features the hit singles 'Waterloo Sunset' and 'Death of a Clown,' the latter co-written by band member Dave Davies. Despite its critical acclaim, the album sold poorly upon release. Fun fact: 'Waterloo Sunset' was ranked number 42 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
