The Life of a Showgirl

Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl, released October 3, 2025, is a glittering, theatrical pop record that leans fully into her inner performer — big hooks, dramatic arrangements, and a sense of showmanship that feels like a love letter to the stage.

Personally I loved this album I always will

i really dont think this album was that bad but i guess taylor set the bar really high. honestly i think it could’ve been an ep since it felt like some songs wore written just for the sake of being written (Eldest Daugther, CANCELLED and Wish List). Everyone is sleeping on Honey but it was my most streamed song last year. Unfortunately i overplayed the album and the songs feel bland, but i do enjoy Wood and Actually Romantic more after revisiting. Also, TLOAS was probably a reset for TS13, being a happy album, unlike her last 4 albums

I’m a major swiftie, but this was/is a major disappointment. “Folklore lyrics/1989 production” and this is the outcome?

The way she keeps reinventing herself is insane

What the heck. 😭 I have lots of opinions on this album. I actually really like Elizabeth Taylor, but the rest of the songs I’m not a huge fan of. It’s decent for pop music I guess, but it’s not the kind of music vibe I like. I also think some of her lyrics are actually really clever! but when I heard “Wood”….that ruined the album.
