Released on July 3, 1968, 'Waiting for the Sun' is The Doors' third studio album. It became their only number one album, topping the Billboard 200 for four weeks, and featured their second US number one single, 'Hello, I Love You'. The album showcases the band's experimental approach, blending rock with elements of jazz and classical music. Fun fact: The track 'Waiting for the Sun' was originally intended to be the title track but was not included until their 1970 album 'Morrison Hotel'.
