Released in January 1969, 'Yellow Submarine' serves as both a soundtrack to the animated film and a Beatles album. It features six tracks by the band, including four new songs and the previously released 'Yellow Submarine' and 'All You Need Is Love'. The second side comprises George Martin's orchestral score for the film. Fun fact: The album was initially considered a contractual obligation by the Beatles, who were asked to supply four new songs for the film.
