Confessions

Someone explain why this album is called Confessions because I didn’t learn a single thing about Jade and I fear she didn’t confess anything. This is what we like to call pop slop and this is why people think all pop music is shallow. Look I don’t mind superficial, girlie, silly music! Take Alessi Rose for example- I LOVE her music. But this just blows. I knew Jade as that one girl who sang “Constellations” which is a pretty song so I figured if nothing else we’d get mid-sweet lyrics with pretty sounds… we got much worse. We got boring sex songs. Look! Sex is apart of being human and i don’t mind it being referenced in music but it just feels dumb here. Sabrina does it so well because she’s naturally charismatic and funny but this album just gives horny. I don’t mind some of the sound on this but overall the lyrics suck too much to make me think anything positive about it. Steal my skin was probably the best track and I did think Got Me Obsessed had a smart flip at the end.. but that’s pretty much it. Soulless music like this makes me more and more confident that there is such thing as good and bad art. Also! If you like this but think taylor swift writes poorly… please seek therapy. I feel like I had at least one more thing to say… RIGHT- calling yourself a narcissist isn’t cute in the quirky “I’m a bad person 🤪” way people think it is. Also- hot take! If it was my last day on earth I wouldn’t get drunk and have sex. I would probably do quite literally anything else like… I don’t know! Spending time with the people I love!! 1/10 since I can’t go into the negatives. HALLELUJAH!
