This is her lover-girl album in my opinion. I know Lover (and lowkey reputation)(oh and I suppose showgirl) are considered the lover-girl albums... but this one is so lover girl to me. Even the break up songs are hardly vicous. She is a yearner in this piece of art. I mean... she's had so many albums of her career, but I do feel like this one deserves credit as her big first thing. Love Story?? You Belong With Me?? Forever & Always?? Fearless?? The Way I Loved You?? Fifteen??? Like this album was an iconic piece of 2000s history (herstory). It will never be my favorite Taylor album (well, never say never), but it cannot be ignored what an iconic piece of work this album was. Like I said... Love Story?? Love Story alone. I also just think this is a really earnest, story-telling driven piece of work which is part of what makes older Taylor music so charming. I feel like Taylor now is more cautious with her words and doesn't want to overtell a story, but this Taylor seems so obsessed with just telling the full story that she's not afraid to say too much and make it wordy. Like I literally feel like every song on this album is cinematic and his it's own little story. I mean... this album just belongs in a soundtrack. I love her lover-girl, yearning era. Thanks Tay <3 it's fearlessssss
