Released on February 14, 1979, 'George Harrison' is the eighth studio album by the English musician. Written and recorded throughout 1978, the album reflects a period of personal happiness, including his marriage to Olivia Arias and the birth of his son, Dhani. The album features the hit single 'Blow Away' and 'Not Guilty,' a song Harrison originally recorded with The Beatles in 1968. The recording sessions took place at Harrison's FPSHOT studio in Oxfordshire, with contributions from musicians like Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton. Fun fact: The track 'Faster' was inspired by Harrison's attendance at the 1977 Formula One races.
