Released in 1978, 'Misfits' is the seventeenth studio album by the English rock band The Kinks. Recorded at Konk Studios in London, the album marked a shift towards a more rock-oriented style. It was the band's last album to feature pianist John Gosling and the only one to include bassist Andy Pyle. Despite internal conflicts, the album reached No. 40 in the U.S. and featured the minor hit single 'A Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy'.
