Taylor in his 8' x 10' home studio during the early months of the 2020 lockdown, Quietly Blowing It serves as a deeply personal and introspective retrospective of the singer-songwriter's life. The album blends gospel, Southern soul, indie folk, and alt-country to explore poignant themes of alienation, hope, family, and healing. Fun fact: The record features an impressive roster of special guests, including Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, guitar great Buddy Miller, and producer Josh Kaufman.

way back in the way back- a super fun opening that shows the background and storyline of the album the great mystifier- further set storylines mighty dollar- brings in conflict and shows the bad parts of the story quietly blowing it- where the album changes from a groovy album to a wake up call from shock and misery. I can feel the longing in his voice so good It will if we let it- longing and trying to justify the emotion. best song on album hardlytown - some self acceptance with a lingering sense of hardship if it comes in the morning- it’s like a quiet before the storm glory strums- moving on with life, pushing through, with set backs ofcourse painting houses- calmness, more self acceptance and a clear view of life. love the sax at the end. and i love the transition angles in the headlights- perfectly fits into “painting houses,” I don’t have a lot to say but that it’s a fun almost interesting song and very free in nature. a good quiet song before sanctuary. sanctuary- a PERFECT way to end this incredible album. so fun bubbly and accepting. this song is about striving to do better in the things you’ve messed up on. Super fun song to leave this heartbreaking album on.
