Rustin' in the Rain is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Tyler Childers, released on September 8, 2023, through Hickman Holler and RCA Records ([Rustin' in the Rain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rustin%27_in_the_Rain)). The seven-track project was playfully conceived as a collection of songs Childers would pitch to Elvis Presley, blending country, bluegrass, and folk influences ([REVIEW: Tyler Childers "Rustin' in the Rain"](https://americanahighways.org/2023/09/11/review-tyler-childers-rustin-in-the-rain/)). Fun fact: The album's thematic focus on mules stems from an early career experience where an older man told Childers he looked like "a mule looking over a picket fence" ([‘Rustin’ in the Rain’ by Tyler Childers - Lyrics & Meaning | Holler](https://holler.country/lyrics/rustin-in-the-rain-by-tyler-childers-lyrics-and-meaning/)).
