Some Time in New York City

Released on June 12, 1972, 'Some Time in New York City' is John Lennon and Yoko Ono's third collaborative studio album. The album blends studio tracks addressing social issues with live performances featuring Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention. Its bold political themes and experimental style received mixed reviews but showcased the couple's commitment to activism through music. Fun fact: The album's cover art, designed to resemble a newspaper, was initially censored due to a controversial image of Richard Nixon and Mao Zedong dancing nude together.
