The Boy Who Played the Harp

The Boy Who Played the Harp is the critically acclaimed third studio album by British rapper Dave, serving as a highly introspective follow-up to his 2021 release 'We're All Alone in This Together'. Structured as a concept album heavily influenced by gospel and themes of destiny, it explores complex societal and personal issues while featuring collaborations with artists like James Blake, Tems, and Kano. Fun fact: The album's title is a biblical reference to the Book of Samuel, comparing Dave's birth name (David) and musical gifts to the young shepherd who was summoned to play the harp to soothe King Saul's troubled spirits.
