The Good Witch

Well, yes. Well, no. She simultaneously gives me everything and nothing? Idk. It's a fun album... but she also doesn't really do anything that blows my mind. It's just a fun pop album. I put it in Alessi Rose territory- except Alessi Rose is hotter and more fun. I feel like Maisie has a good idea of what her sound is... but maybe not really her voice? I don't know? I feel like this lacks perspective. Also, just kind of a long album with a lot of generic songs. Wendy and Therapy stand out as bad to me. The back half of this album just bores me to death too. After BSC like tell me one thing about the album? I think she just rambles on for 21 songs without telling me much more interesting that keeps me actually wanting to listen. It keeps the fun vibes, but I could just re-listen to the first half for the same vibes. As it stands, with 21 songs, it all just runs together into one giant blur. I think she's a pretty decent C-tier pop girlie, but I'd be shocked if she ever blows up because of her lack of a narrative pov and ability to keep the listener locked.
