Released on October 3, 1980, 'Zenyatta Mondatta' is The Police's third studio album, blending new wave, post-punk, and reggae rock influences. Recorded in four weeks during their second tour, it features hits like 'Don't Stand So Close to Me' and 'De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da'. The album earned two Grammy Awards in 1982. Fun fact: The title 'Zenyatta Mondatta' is a combination of 'Zen', 'Jomo Kenyatta', 'le monde' (French for 'the world'), and 'reggatta' from their previous album 'Reggatta de Blanc'.
