This is my rating for just the anthology tracks (The Black Dog-The Manuscript). Damn this album is so good. Like actually such a surreal experience to listen to it. Every song has such beautiful story telling. Yeah, I do hope it’s shitty at the black dog. Yes, I am gonna get him back. Yes, I am here to destroy you. Yes, holograms are stumbling through my apartment. Yes, the empathetic hunger is descending on me. Yes, I do know Aristotle. Yes, I am a poet trapped inside a finance guy. Yes, I did write a thousand songs that people would think are uncool. Yeah, like what if your eyes did look up and meet mine one more time? Yes, I would like the prophecy to be changed (pleaseee). Yes, they did kill Cassandra first. Yes, you did say you were gonna grow up and then come find me (x like 3). Yes, it did start with a kiss and we must stop meeting like this. Yes, I have no room in my dreams for regrets. Yes, I do reread the manuscript even though the story isn’t mine anymore. I hope that allows you to see how much I love this half of the album. This half feels a bit slower but it kills you that way too. It kills you slowly. Anyways, if you want to feel like someone’s pulling your soul apart word by word… ttpd has got you! This one is in fact for our poet girlies. Thank you, I Hate It Here, for existing. It is such a precious album to me!!
